On 25 November 2013, H.E. Mr.Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States of America, delivered a speech to company members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C.  The speech highlighted Thailand – U.S. Economic relations as well as trade and investment promotion, large scale infrastructure projects which contribute to and stimulate the economy, enhance logistics capacity as well as foster regional links between ASEAN and beyond. The Ambassador also emphasized his priority to maintain and enhance political and economic ties which mark the longstanding 180 years of close relations, as well as expanding new areas of cooperation such as energy, creative economy, science and technology, transnational issues, human trafficking, wildlife, climate change, and others.
